I associate home with people.

Everyone has their own definition of being at home. Infact, after a certain age, we outgrow places and tend to seek our home in people.

We focus on the type of people we let into our world. Sometimes, we validate happiness with our social circle. Some of us try, way too hard to retain people in our lives.

I gave myself, one year to find new friends; as ridiculous as it sounds, my entire year went bizarre. The end was excellent, though. So, I enrolled in every possible club I could, at the beginning of the year. I juggled through things almost the entire year until I got dark circles and an obsession for ice creams. I met a considerate amount of people, had great conservations through screens, and learned a lot of things. However, the home….it was missing all the while. But, I was persistent; I wanted a certain set of people in my world and I was willing to work for it. I gradually developed an inferiority complex and eventually started to resent the people who made me feel so.

Well, the year ended, and I had to decide what should stay in my little world. Over the past year, I understood, that no matter how hard I try, I can’t have a specific set of people in my world unless I change my world completely.

I made a choice. So, I chose a group that aligned with my world.

The mistake I made was probably trying too hard. Sometimes, the right people just stay. — cliche statement.😜

If your little world is way more happening or similar to my little world. — You got your HOME.
