Mirzapur season 2 release date has been announced.Prime’s most viewed and critically acclaimed show. The fandom for the character ‘MUNNA BHAI”, is seamless. I watched season one last year. I wondered how the character graph of Munna, though filled with extreme negativity eventually seemed justified. Well, we humans always fall for stories which are driven by emotions.

Recently, many web series, movies highlight the emotions of antagonists equal to the protagonists, to give the audience the mixed feeling of justice. Ever wondered why we feel so?

We are prone to one sided accounts of incidents time and again. Infact, every story is a one sided account of an incident that has happened, be it a movie, book or even news. Every account has its own emotion and own protagonist. We live in an information driven world, but most information is biased. We form opinions based on this information. Judge people and construct boundaries. Most of the time, when we don’t have an opinion, we just go with the mass opinion.(elections).

Here is what is wrong with mass opinion, before 1910 most people in India had an opinion that Indians can co-exist with british rule. Some rare minds had an introspection and toiled hard to convince people out of this attitude.

Well today, when we read about an unfortunate incident, we judge victims and accused, in black and white scales. But, according to me every incident happens in GRAYSCALE. If it was that easy to judge a crime, we wouldn’t have an entire subject allocated for it. Now, even most heinous crimes, these days have many stories behind them. Just because we can judge people, form an opinion we can’t penalize someone, “we suppose is the accused.”

Another example, back in the month of may for about a week there were posts, stories, articles about a dead elephant in kerala. I suppose it only gained attention because it’s a dead mammal, in the hands of a farmer. But, no one was ever so adamant to speak about Safoora Zargar, who was jailed since march.A pregnant muslim, speaking for her, is like forming a peril. But, she is alive and worth fighting for.Sometimes, we fight over the dead, not because we care, just because it’s safe.

We have the right to form opinions, speak out.

A villain is just a victim, whose story hasn’t been told.

When I first read this quote, I realized, it’s better not to have an opinion ,than to have baseless false judgement.

I am feminist, but when I read about an incident. If it concerns me, I think twice, get my facts right and then post it. If it’s necessary I would make grayscale comments.I feel, being opinionless is better than being hypocrite.Whenever, we come across sensitive incidents, it is ideal not to pick sides(black or white), stay in grayscale for meantime, get the facts and then lend the opinion.

If you are wondering how to get into the GRAYSCALE?

Keep reading my articles.😉
